Pauline is our President, Public Officer and Sponsorship Co-ordinator. She joined the committee after visiting Nepal early in 2009 with Mary-Louise Parkinson. She has returned to Nepal a further 2 more times since that initial visit and like all committee members, visits to Nepal are at her own expense - no donated funds are used for airfares, accommodation or meals.
Pauline is married to Rohan and they have 2 adult sons, Nick & Phil.
Mark is Co-Founder and manages
all our programs in Nepal and is the main link between Australia and Nepal. He is married to Rita, a Nepali, and travels to Nepal on a regular basis for his information technology business and to work closely with the staff in Nepal.
Phil Mewett - Vice President
Phil has recently joined the Asha Foundation team and will be a great asset. Phil is currently Managing Director and Principal of Utopia Consulting Pty Ltd and was previously the CEO of Ocean and Earth Australia. Phil has a strong involvement with Rotary both at a local level as past Treasurer and President of the Rotary Club of Sussex Inlet and presently the District Rotary Foundation Chair.
He is married to Denise and they have 3 sons and 2 grandchildren.
Karen's first involvement with the Asha Foundation was in July 2009 when she and her husband Ken helped write the submission for the Bal Mandir Project. As a teen her parents provided foster care to 50 children and this has instilled in her a dedication to help children. Karen has a background in nursing and counselling and she has specialised in the cancer, palliative care and bereavement support areas.
Rohan Gleeson - Treasurer
Rohan joined after visiting Nepal with Pauline early in 2010. He is owner principal of Southern Computer Co and Southern Fibre, he is also Director of Rainmaker Cloud Computing and like Phil Mewett has a strong connection with Rotary.
Rohan has a background in accounting and will be a valuable asset for The Asha Foundation.
Katherine joined our team after volunteering in Nepal late last year. She is very familiar with our work in the Children's Homes as well as our projects. Katherine is responsbile for the control of our finances and budgeting and has worked closely with our staff in Kathmandu. Katherine is an IT professional currently working in Sydney.
Phil Gleeson - Website & E-News Co-ordinator
Phil joined The Asha Foundation team in 2009 and is responsible for the development of our new website and hosting. The creator of his own media company - Phoenix Media Group, Phil has donated his time and expertise to our website. He hopes to travel to Nepal in 2011.

Narayan is the President of our In Country Partner - Dharmik Nepal and very generously donates one of his offices in Kathmandu to us free of rent. He volunteers his time in helping us navigate the Nepali way of life and is our Nepali cultural advisor. Narayan is a very successful self made Kathmandu business and is married with 3 children.
