Improving Dental Health

Our 1st dental clinic was a huge success thanks to our Kathmandu staff, Mark and the dental team who came up from Kathmandu for the day long clinic.  300 children and adults attended and all received free consultation, dental extractions if needed, lessons in dental hygiene and a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Of course these projects are only possible because of the generosity of our donors - a big THANK YOU to all those who gave to this wonderful cause.  We didn't quite meet our target of $1,500 but got awfully close.

This won't hurt a bit - what a brave boy

Everyone received toothbrush & paste

In September 2011, The Asha Foundation in conjunction with Kathmandu & Australian dentists will be holding a dental camp in the village of Kuntabesi.

The day long clinic will focus on 300 children and adults in this village which is situated 3 hours drive east of Kathmandu.  There will be no charge to the villagers as the Asha Foundation will be funding this project.  The budget has been set at A$1,500.00 which equates to A$5.00 per person.  Everything from disposable gloves, suture equipment, face masks to antibiotics will be purchased and of course toothbrushes and toothpaste for all.

Help us put a smile on their faces - just A$5.00 per child
